Personal Style

Personal Style

Personal Style is whatever you feel best outwardly describes the person you are on the inside. This is achieved through the clothing you wear and the way you style your hair and make-up. They way in which you visually present yourself is an incredibly powerful way in which to change people's perceptions of you. What do you want people to think about you when they look at you? Personal style also evolves overtime! The person you are today and the style in which you present yourself will not be the person or style you will be rocking 10 years from now or even a year from now! (TRUST ME)

There are a number of ways to figure out your own personal style. Here are a few:
  1. Look up style icons. Who are you drawn to? Notice the color palette they frequently wear, notice the way they do their hair and make-up, the shoes they wear, the outfits they put together. What appeals to you about them?
  2. Find the words. Look at what influences you. Do you gravitate towards bohemian looks? Urban looks? casual? chic? modern? edgy? feminine? It's unlikely that you only like one. We are all a mix.
  3. You know those outfits that you keep going back to because they make you feel amazing? Likely those outfits that make us feel our best are the outfits that define our personal style. Take selfies in those outfits and figure out what is similar about them.
  4. Have anything in multiples? If you have tons of stripes in your wardrobe? Lots of black and white? that indicates your personal style.
  5. Be confident! Own your personal style.
