Class Procedures/ Policy

FOUNDATIONS IN MEDIA ART- art credit for graduation
FASHION DESIGN- full year elective credit
ADVANCED GRAPHIC ART AND DESIGN- full year elective credit

Expectations
  • BE ON TIME. 99% of the time most of my instruction happens within the first 15 minutes of class. BE HERE. (If you are more than 15 minutes late to my class you will get a cut slip.)
  • (FIMA) Walk into my room respectfully, go to your computer station and either begin working on the written assignment or the project we are currently working on. There is ALWAYS an assignment you you can be working on.
  • DO NOT distract others in the room.
  • (FIMA) DO NOT walk around the room. Literally no reason for you to go anywhere but your computer or up to ask me a question. You are to stay at your seat until the bell rings.
Cell Phones and Food
  • You are not to use your cell phone in class which is school wide policy.
  • (FIMA) NO FOOD ALLOWED IN THE COMPUTER LAB. NONE. THIS IS A SCHOOL WIDE RULE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Grading
  • There is a rubric for each and every assignment clearly outlining what I will be looking for while grading and the point value.
  • THERE ARE NO TESTS OR HOMEWORK. That being said that means your entire grade depends on the work you do in the classroom. BE HERE!
  •  No work handed in after the marking period has closed can be accepted. ALL WORK MUST be turned in on Google Classroom under the correct assignment for you to receive a grade.
  • If you are in OSS or ISS you are expected to go to www.dopicoart.com/make-up-projects-ossiss.html and complete as many projects as you have missed due to your absence. THESE ARE DIGITAL ART PROJECTS- all you need is your chromebook.
Completing Work Outside of Class
  • You are welcome to come during your lunch, study hall (check in with your study hall teacher first), or other free periods to get work done outside of class. Please ask me and we will work something out.
