Mythical Zoo Exhibit

One of the many tasks that a graphic designer might be faced with is creating signs. This could be billboards, flyers for businesses or informational signs for facilities.

Gather Information: Assignment # 1
Before you begin, you are going to need to gather information about the animals you are combining into your "chimera"
In a new slide in your google portfolio for each animal, paste an image of that animal into the slide and answer the following questions about each animal.
  1. Where does this animal come from?
  2. What is its habitat?
  3. What does it eat and what eats it? (If anything)
  4. Is it endangered?
  5. Fun fact! What makes this animal cool and unique?

PIXLR E VIDEO TUTORIAL COMING SOON!!!

Tutorials Below IF YOU HAVE PHOTOSHOP AT HOME:
  • Start by creating a collage of your chimera. Below is a tutorial on how to achieve this. (Just make the chimera part of the tutorial, don't add a background)
chimeracollage.pdf
File Size: 21000 kb
File Type: pdf
Download File

  • Once you complete the chimera, save it as a jpeg. This will be your reference photo. Then set up your painting, like we have done with the skull digital painting study we completed previously. Reference that tutorial below:

  • Once you have painted your chimera/ mythical creature, you will bring that painting in a new file and design the exhibition sign. This is the time you will add all the informational text about this creature. Reference the tutorial for the text stage of this project below:
